I thought it might be interesting to make a list of places that have been important for the Lush family over the years. It would make a great holiday to tour around and visit all of these!
Co Sligo – Leaffony - This is where the family grew up and had their flaxmill.
Co Wicklow – Coolroe – This is where the family moved to when the Flaxmill shut down. Mrs Lush was the head mistress at the local schoolhouse (If I ever move back to Ireland I would love to buy the schoolhouse and live there!).
Balinglen Farm – This was where T.J. Lush had his farm.
Co Dublin – Idrone Terrace – This is where Mrs Lush lived for a number of years.
Kruger Kavanagh’s Pub – This is where Harry used to spend 2 or 3 weeks every summer.
St Columba’s College – This is where Norman taught (and was a legend) for many years!
